Before the creation of this cosmic manifestation, I alone existed with My own spiritual powers, to the exclusion of all gross, subtle, or causal phenomena. Consciousness had not yet manifested. After creation, I alone dwell in all things, and when the time of annihilation (the end of the world) comes, I alone will remain forever.

Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, is the first and the last of all spiritual beings, for these beings, of which each of us is a part, are minute fragments, integral parts of His divine person. Krishna is the only Living Being that exists, the Absolute Unique without equal, and apart from Him there is no one else. Outside of Him there is nothing.

He is the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, the original source and support of All That Exists, and indeed of the entire cosmic manifestation. He is the cause of all causes; everything emanates from Him. He is infinite and absolute existence, the container and the content of All.

He is the Supreme Primordial Person who existed before creation when absolutely nothing existed other than Himself. The cause of creation, material nature, had not yet manifested.

Before the creation of material cosmic manifestation, He alone existed with His own spiritual powers, to the exclusion of all gross, subtle, or causal phenomena. Consciousness had not yet manifested, and after creation, He alone dwelt in all things. When the time of annihilation or “end of the world” came, when the existence of the entire galaxy ceased to exist, He alone remained and endured forever.

Why is it necessary to know and teach this existential and absolute truth?

Knowing the absolute, existential truth as it truly is allows us to know what is good, right, just, and righteous to follow and do, if we do not wish to remain ignorant of God, of our true spiritual identity, of true spiritual knowledge, and ultimately not know how to behave, how to act, or where to go, if we do not wish to be plunged into blindness and suffer continually.

Knowing the truth allows us not to remain permanently in the material sphere, believing that nothing else exists, but to move toward the spiritual sphere, the true spiritual world, and to strive to remain there continually, in order to serve God with love and devotion.

Knowing the truth allows us to no longer wander continuously in the material world, to no longer be immersed in ignorance of the data relating to God, to our true spiritual identity, to true spiritual knowledge and to existential and absolute truth, but above all to seek to live constantly with God, to want to abandon ourselves totally to him, and to want to serve him with love and devotion.
