They descend on different planets in our galaxy at the behest of Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, to fulfill the role of Messiahs.
All galaxies are created on the same principle, that is, each one is divided into three major regions.
The first and most important is the upper region, which is composed of a large number of heavenly, paradise-like planets where celestial beings live.
The second, the intermediate region, is composed of a large number of terrestrial-like planets. Therefore, Earth is not alone.
The third, the lower region, located below the intermediate region, called Hell, is composed of a large number of hellish planets.
The Earth and its human inhabitants are located at the beginning of the intermediate region, while Brahma, the first created being, the demiurge and ruler of our galaxy, placed in this position by God, and his peers live on the higher planets, the highest of which is Satyaloka, also called Brahmaloka.
The inhabitants of the latter have perfect mastery of spiritual wisdom, such that for them, the mystical cloud of material energy dissipates. For this reason, they are referred to as personified celestial beings. Fully awakened to material and spiritual knowledge, they pursue no personal interests, either in the material or spiritual worlds. They can practically be described as desireless saints, for they have nothing to pursue in the material universe, and they find their fulfillment in the spiritual world.
Why, then, do they come here?
In truth, they descend to different planets in our galaxy at the behest of the Supreme Lord, Krishna, to fulfill the role of Messiahs and liberate the fallen souls imprisoned in matter.
On Earth, for example, they appear in different places, under various circumstances, and in various climates, in order to benefit mankind. But apart from their mission to rescue the fallen and conditioned souls languishing in the material universe and thus subjected to the illusory influence of material energy, they have no business in this world. At the end of their divine mission, they return to their place of origin.
