God also sends down from His kingdom His pure devotees as Messiahs, also called “Comforters.”

Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, regularly descends Himself to a planet in a given galaxy, or sends His pure devotee and authentic representative, called a messenger, son of God, companion, or intimate servant.

By His will, the Supreme Lord, Krishna, descends to the material planets in countless avatar forms for specific reasons, after which He returns to His kingdom. Avatar means “One who descends.”

It should be noted that neither the Supreme Personality of Godhead, nor the pure beings He Himself sends to earth, for example, are ordinary beings like ordinary human beings. A genuine envoy of the Lord is just as valuable as God Himself.

Periodically, an envoy of the Lord appears like a ray of light to teach the world the ultimate purpose of existence. Noble heads of families pray to God to entrust them with one of His envoys, so that a favorable influence may be exerted on human society.

One who agrees to place himself under the guidance of such a great soul can also attain the knowledge of God and establish himself, like the pure devotee of the Lord, on the spiritual and absolute plane. He will thus be freed from the grip of matter and return to his original home, located in the kingdom of God, to enjoy eternal happiness.

The Comforter, also called “Messiah, Deliverer, or Redeemer.”

When spirituality declines on a planet in a given galaxy, Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Himself comes to restore it. He summons one of His companions, a pure devotee of His Divine Person, from His kingdom, with the mission of making Him known as He truly is, of spreading His divine word and His sublime saving teachings, and of freeing the captives from their dungeons so that they may finally attain liberation and salvation.

Jesus had predicted that Lord Krishna, God, would send another Comforter: I have yet much more spiritual information to reveal to you, but you cannot receive it now, for it is beyond your comprehension. When the Comforter comes, the Spirit of truth whom the Father will send, He will guide you into all truth, for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears from the Father, He will speak, and He will declare to you things to come.

The Lord speaks to us about his servant: Thus says God, your Redeemer. I alone stretched out the heavens, I alone spread out the earth, I, I, have made all things.

Behold my servant. I have put my Spirit in him, he will proclaim justice to the nations in truth. I, the Lord, have called you for salvation, and I will take you by the hand. I will keep you, and I will appoint you for a covenant of the people, to be a light to the nations, to open the eyes of the blind, to bring out the captive from prison, and those who dwell in darkness from their dungeons.
