Every action itself generates an effect, thus strengthening the material chain that keeps its perpetrator ever more imprisoned in matter, and consequently suffering.

This chain of actions and the resulting consequences can only be broken when one places oneself in the service of God and acts for Him.

The Lord advises: Surrender yourself completely to Me, and I will protect you from all perils. You will never again experience the problems of birth and death. By My grace, you will know absolute peace, and you will attain My eternal and supreme abode. I grant faith and refuge to anyone who surrenders to Me and vows to serve Me forever, for such is My nature.

Only through devotional service, and only thus, can one know Me as I am. And the being who, through such devotion, becomes fully aware of Me, can then enter My absolute kingdom.

Only by serving Me with undivided love and devotion can one know Me as I am, and truly see Me. Thus, and only thus, can one penetrate the mystery of My Person. You may proclaim it emphatically, My devotee will never perish.

Truly, devotional service is the manifestation of love for Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and the expression of feelings for His Divine Personality.

Serving Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, with love and devotion protects us from all fear, anxiety, illness, and suffering.

Why must we absolutely surrender to God?

Let us surrender completely to Krishna, God, the Supreme Personality, awaken to Him and to the existential and absolute truth. Let us become totally and permanently conscious of Lord Krishna.

For this, Krishna, God, the Supreme Personality, gives us His sublime living and eternal word, which will never disappear, as well as His precious sublime teaching, which answers all your questions.

All my books disseminate the sublime word of God and contain the keys to truth. Take them, they are yours; I offer them to you.

Meditation, also called mental absorption, involves concentrating one's thoughts on the supreme cause of all that is, on Krishna, God, the Supreme Personality, even if at that moment one is unaware of His exact nature, whether personal, impersonal, or localized.

Such concentration of the mind on the Absolute, Krishna, is a form of devotional service. Indeed, interrupting all sensory pursuits to focus on the supreme cause is a sign of self-surrender.
