This is why the Lord recommends embracing the service of love and devotion offered to His Person and remaining absorbed in Krishna consciousness, or God consciousness, for twenty-four hours a day. This consciousness elevates those who practice it beyond the influence of the attributes of material nature. A human being established in Krishna consciousness can easily know the nature of the spiritual world and the spiritual planets.

The inhabitants of earthly Vrindavana, located in India, a region spiritualized by Krishna's presence during His sojourn there 5,000 years ago, constantly immersed in this Krishna consciousness, were able to know without any difficulty the spiritual and absolute nature of the spiritual planets.

Thus, Krishna led all the herdsmen, headed by King Nanda Maharaja, to the lake where He would later reveal the spiritual planetary system to them. There, without delay, they bathed, and, thanks to this bath, which acted as a purifier of their being, each was able to see the true nature of the spiritual planets. Once imbued with this vision, all the men felt filled with a wondrous bliss, and the first thing they saw emerging from the water was Krishna, who was worshipped with beautifully chosen prayers.

Lord Krishna personally comes to this world to unveil His absolute spiritual amusements. He appears to draw conditioned souls, such as ourselves, to Himself, so that they may return to their original abodes in the eternal spiritual realm.

No matter which galaxies and planets float within them in the material cosmos, and wherever they may go, conditioned souls will find no possibility of joy, for happiness does not exist in the material universe.

The Lord Himself says that it is “the world of suffering.”

The spiritual soul that each of us truly is can only experience happiness through contact with the Supreme Being, Krishna, the Sovereign Person, and nowhere else.

By His causeless and infinite grace, the Lord possesses countless spiritual planets called “Vaikunthas,” which float throughout the expanse of the spiritual world that is actually the radiance emanating from Krishna's divine body. Within this sublime universe, there exists an unlimited number of possibilities for the equally unlimited enjoyment of us, beings distinct from God.

The Lord personally comes to this world to unveil His spiritual and absolute amusements. He appears solely to draw us conditioned souls back to Himself, so that they may return to their original abodes in the eternal world. But through a lack of piety, those who observe these amusements of the Lord find little appeal in them.
