Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, reveals the spiritual world to us.
When He was on Earth 5,000 years ago, Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, revealed to His devotees, the shepherds, the place of their destiny, the absolute kingdom.
Human beings are mostly unaware of the existence of another world, the spiritual world, where life is eternal, filled with knowledge and bliss. Experiencing His goodness upon all conditioned souls, the Lord shows His devotees a very special favor. He decreed that they should learn that a “spiritual atmosphere” exists, and that they should also see the spiritual planets that float within it.
Conditioned souls, in this material world, are steeped in the darkness of ignorance and all act according to a concept of existence dictated by the body. Each has the illusion of belonging to the material world, and this belief compels them to act in ignorance within the various forms of life. The actions that beings perform in their various physical bodies are called “karma,” or self-interested actions. All conditioned souls act according to the particular body they have assumed. The actions they perform today determine their condition tomorrow. Having little knowledge of the spiritual world, they generally do not engage in spiritual activities or devotional service. But those who practice it successfully go directly, after leaving the physical body, to the spiritual world, to settle on one of the spiritual planets.
The inhabitants of Vrindavana, a village in India, are all pure holy beings. Their destiny is Krishnaloka, the supreme planet, the most important in the spiritual world where Krishna Himself resides. They thus ascend beyond the spiritual planets.
In truth, those who remain ever absorbed in Krishna consciousness, in pure devotional service, are granted the chance, at the moment of death, to attain Krishna's company in one of the galaxies of the material cosmos, for Krishna's playful delights are constantly taking place in our galaxy or another. Indeed, the advent and sublime playful delights of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, are perpetually manifesting in our galaxy or another.
