Time is a manifestation of Lord Krishna, meant to remind us that we must surrender to Him.

The fear of death arises from the action of time, which represents the influence of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person. In other words, time is destructive. Everything that is created is also subject to destruction and annihilation, which represents the action of time.

Time is a manifestation of Lord Krishna, meant to remind us that we must surrender to Him. The Lord addresses every conditioned soul in the form of time. The Lord teaches us to endure, without being affected, the misfortunes that Providence inflicts upon us. All of this is the work of inexorable time, which carries away all beings from all planets.

Time exerts its influence everywhere in the material cosmos, and of course in each of the countless galaxies, in space as well as on the various planets. All celestial bodies, even the largest (including the sun), are subject to the force of air, which sustains them just as it sustains clouds. Likewise, the action of air, like that of other elements, is influenced by the inexorable passage of time.

Truly, all things are subject to the influence of supreme time, which, in the material universe, is a powerful representation of Lord Krishna. Everyone must, for as long as they live in the material universe, experience the ebb and flow of time. It is true that we suffer the consequences of our mistakes made in our previous lives, but even the most virtuous person must also suffer due to the harsh conditions created by the material nature of this world. But because they are guided by spiritual masters and qualified servants of God who adhere to the principles of religion, they remain faithful to the Lord.

All together, the Lord, spiritual masters, and servants of God, along with the principles of religion, should serve as our guides to achieving the goal of human life, and no one should be troubled by the wiles of eternal time. Even the great master of the universe, Brahma, the first created being, the demiurge and regent of our galaxy placed in this position by Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, is subject to the influence of time. Therefore, no resentment at being subject to its power is justified, even for the strict adherent of religious principles.

How prodigious and relentless is the influence of time.

Time, a manifestation of God, is no different from the Lord Himself, whose inexplicable will it reflects. Therefore, there is no cause for lamentation when circumstances are beyond our control.

The Lord declares that whoever surrenders to Him will never again experience the problems of birth and death. We must therefore see time as the Sovereign Lord present before us.

Fear arises the moment the incarnate soul identifies with its physical body. This is because it has become absorbed in external energy, the illusory energy of the Lord. As soon as the living entity turns away from the Supreme Lord, it also forgets its constitutional position as a servant of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person. This formidable and unsettling situation is generated by the power of illusion, called maya.

Therefore, every intelligent person should wholeheartedly commit themselves under the guidance of a genuine spiritual master, a true servant of Krishna, to the service of unalloyed love and devotion offered to the Lord, and worship Him, for He is the source of life.

If we wish to halt the passage of time and the cycle of repeated rebirth and death, then let us surrender ourselves to God and serve Him with love and devotion. In this way, we will attain true freedom and return to Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, in His eternal kingdom.
