Do thieves, plunderers, and those who rob honest people know that they will be reincarnated within the forest?

People who belong to the race of thieves and plunderers are given a portion of the forest as their dwelling place.

As we have seen, animals are generally allotted territories in the forest and mountains; humans, similar to animals in their behavior, are also destined to live in such places. Anyone who is not conscious of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, must be considered a thief. Even if they have attained a high level of material advancement, a wrongdoer cannot find themselves in a comfortable position. A thief is always a thief and deserves to be punished. Because people lack God-consciousness, they have become thieves. That is why they are punished by the laws of material nature, and no one can go against this state of affairs, even with the good offices of various public assistance agencies and humanitarian organizations. If the inhabitants of the earth do not adopt Krishna consciousness, or God-consciousness, they will experience famine and much suffering.

Suicide is a culpable and reprehensible act that should never be committed. Suicide means killing one's body prematurely. We have been given a particular body to enjoy and suffer for a specific time, all in accordance with our self-serving activities in our previous life.

Lord Krishna says: You have dedicated your life and body to My service. Therefore, your body does not belong to you; you have no right to destroy it. I have many services to perform through you.

The Supreme Lord's disapproval of suicide seems obvious, and thus, a person who commits suicide runs great risks. Two situations present themselves to the suicide victim: on the one hand, that of finding a body and thus realizing that their next life will be prolonged and their suffering continued; and on the other hand, that of being deprived of a physical body for a certain time and having to wander, bewildered, in a ghostly or ethereal body.

The ghost's situation is particularly miserable and painful, because although it feels many desires, the disembodied soul no longer has the possibility of satisfying them through a physical body. This is why ghosts moan and lament. In reality, the ghost's moans are complaints, cries for help. Here we have the expression of the suffering that a soul deprived of a physical form can feel.

The risk of becoming a ghost is not limited to suicide, but extends to any violent and sudden death, such as murder, but also to deaths resulting from fire, drowning, accidents, building collapses, etc. Thus, the danger of descending into a hellish condition after death is very real, and we must therefore fight against suicide and spiritual wandering.

How can we stop this entire process?

To stop this entire process, one simply needs to surrender to Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, to do His divine will, and to serve Him with love and devotion. Those who act in this way live in peace, under the protection of the Lord, and experience ineffable happiness.
