Heads of state and government worldwide must ban the killing of land and aquatic animals.

To this end, they must mandate the immediate closure of all slaughterhouses, fish farms, aquaculture facilities, and other centers for raising aquatic creatures, as well as all industrial fisheries—grounding their fleets—and prohibit both hunting and artisanal fishing.

They must also ban the raising of land and aquatic animals intended for slaughter to provide food for humans. Naturally, they must prohibit the consumption of meat, fish, and eggs, for all animals possess a soul.

That is why all human beings—regardless of whether they are white, black, Asian, Native American, or of mixed race—must immediately decide to stop eating meat, fish, and eggs, and instead practice spiritual vegetarianism.

We must also, without exception, care for all plant life—from blades of grass to the great trees that shelter countless living beings such as ants, caterpillars, butterflies, birds, and monkeys—and destroy none of them, for they all possess a soul.

Through these words, God specifies that this—and nothing else—is to be our food: Behold, I give you every seed-bearing plant that is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree that has seed-bearing fruit; this shall be your food.

We must immediately ban all pesticides and severely punish the criminals who manufacture, sell, and use them.

All living beings—humans, land and aquatic animals, and plants—interact with and in relation to one another. While they act for themselves, they simultaneously act for all the other living beings alongside whom they exist. Each is interconnected with all other living beings; they interact reciprocally, with benevolence serving as the foundation.

Every member of human society—as well as of the animal and plant kingdoms—has a role to play and acts for the good of all others. Whether human (white, Black, Asian, Native, or mixed-race) or animal (cow, dog, goat, insect, butterfly) or plant (blade of grass, shrub, tree, etc.), each works in harmony with the rest for the benefit of society as a whole—a society that encompasses not only mobile beings but also stationary ones, such as mountains, hills, rivers, forests, and the earth itself.

Pesticides disrupt the interconnection among all living beings, sever the bonds uniting them, and destroy certain animal and plant species—leading to their extinction. They cause illness in humans, kill animals and plants, and deplete the soil, causing yields to plummet drastically.

While every living being is important, some play a primary role in the advancement of human society, while others contribute more indirectly. When Krishna consciousness—or God consciousness—prevails, everyone discovers what is most beneficial for them.

All living beings—humans, animals, and plants—are interconnected and interdependent. Yet, ultimately, Lord Krishna is the *summum bonum*: the Supreme Person, the Supreme Good, and thus the supreme vital principle of all things.

This is why pesticides, agrochemicals, and all chemical substances hazardous to humans, animals, plants, the soil, and the environment must be permanently banned.
