Can we affirm that all living beings, human beings, terrestrial and aquatic animals, and plants interact with each other, in relation to each other, and for each other?

Yes, we can affirm that all living beings interact with each other, in relation to each other, and for each other.

All members of every community in human society, as well as those belonging to the animal and plant kingdoms, every human being, white, black, yellow, red, mixed-race, every animal, cow, lion, dog, insect, bird, etc., every plant, blade of grass, shrub, flower, tree, etc., has a role to play within all of humanity, and acts for the good of all others. Each of them must be protected.

Each of them must work in harmony with others, for the benefit of society as a whole, which includes not only mobile beings, but also immobile beings, such as mountains, hills, the earth, etc., because they too play a useful and very important role within humanity.

For example, many insects pollinate a great many plants, which thus develop and in turn contribute to the well-being of humans and many other animals.

The human community composed of merchants, farmers, and businessmen, through the production of cereals, the protection of the cow, the transport of foodstuffs when necessary, and financial activity, is particularly responsible for the economic progress of society.

Krishna, God, the Supreme Person teaches us that even cats and dogs, although not of great importance, should not be neglected, because they play a role in the lives of men. The protection of the cow, however, holds first place, because it graciously offers its milk to all of humanity. Similarly, even the most degraded of men, those called “untouchables” in India, or vagrants in the West, should not be “forgotten” by the higher echelons of society. Every living being has its importance; some, however, are primarily responsible for the progress of human society, others more indirectly.

When Krishna consciousness, the consciousness of God, the Supreme Person, prevails, everyone finds what will be the greatest benefit for them.

All these elements are interconnected and interdependent. But in the final analysis, the Lord is the summum bonum, the Supreme Sovereign, the ultimate goal of the living being, and therefore the vital principle of all things.

What is the major importance of a genuine spiritual master, a true intimate servant of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead?

In order to know everything about God as He truly is, the Absolute Truth as it is, and the sublime words and pure teachings of Krishna, the Lord Himself explains to us the importance of a genuine spiritual master.

Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, says to this effect: Seek to know the truth by approaching a spiritual master, inquire of it from him submissively, and while serving him. The realized soul can reveal knowledge to you, for he has seen the truth.

The Lord tells us that the realized soul, the genuine spiritual master, has seen the truth and can reveal true spiritual knowledge, superior to material knowledge. The pure words and sublime teachings of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, represent the holy authority that the genuine spiritual master gives to all those who desire to know Krishna. It is through him that all who listen to him can come to God.
