Do thieves, looters, and those who rob honest people know that they will be reincarnated within the forest?
Men who belong to the race of thieves and looters are given a part of the forest as their place of residence.
In truth, thoughts, words, and actions produce positive or negative effects, which will have consequences in the life of their author, at the end of their present life already, but certainly in the next.
This is the application of karma, the law of action and reaction, or the law of cause and effect. Karma is infallible justice. We can escape the justice of men, but let us know that escaping divine justice is simply impossible.
As we have seen, animals are generally assigned territories in forests and mountains; men, similar to animals in their behavior, are also destined to live in such places.
No one can access civilized life unless they adopt Krishna consciousness, the consciousness of God, because according to the laws of nature, each person is granted a particular situation according to their karma and their relationship with the three attributes and modes of influence of material nature, which are: virtue, passion, and ignorance.
If men wish to live in harmony and peace, they must opt for Krishna consciousness, because as long as they remain absorbed in a bodily conception of existence, they will be unable to rise to the highest level of existence.
This is the case with men who remain attached to their privileged positions until death and who never wish to leave, even in a dream, the charms of home or their social status.
Prisoners of such illusions, materialists devise a thousand projects to make their existence even more comfortable, but suddenly, death arrives. Cruel and merciless, it carries away against his will our architect of grand projects and forces him to abandon his body to inhabit a new one.
Depending on the actions he has performed in his current life, he will be forced to take a body from among one of the 8,400,000 living species, human, animal, or plant.
Generally, those who are too attached to the comforts of home are forced to be reborn among the lowest species because of the sinful acts that accompanied a long life entirely devoted to sin. Thus, they waste all the energy that the human form had conferred upon them.
