The very fact that He creates implies that the Supreme Being possesses absolute intelligence. Thus, the Absolute Truth is the Supreme Person, endowed with a mind, intelligence, and spiritual and absolute senses. And when the mind, intelligence, and senses of the spiritual being distinct from God become purified of material contamination, he can then know the original nature of the Absolute Truth, Krishna.
When purified, these same senses, mind, and intelligence can indeed allow one to know the Absolute Truth. And the way to purify them is through devotional service, or Krishna consciousness.
Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, created the mind, the senses, and the vital energy so that embodied spiritual beings, conditioned by matter, could satisfy their material desires through successive reincarnations from one body to another, but also so that they could be liberated from material conditions. In other words, the senses, the mind, and the vital energy can be used for the satisfaction of the senses and the repeated transmigration from one body to another, or to attain liberation, salvation.
Now, the Vedic precepts (from the Vedas, the original sacred scriptures, also called “The true gospel”) are precisely intended to allow conditioned souls, which each of us is, to experience the pleasures of this material world according to certain regulatory principles, which thus offer them the opportunity to experience higher conditions of life, and finally, once their consciousness is purified, to regain their original position and return to their original abode, in the kingdom of God.
The life force is endowed with intelligence, and this intelligence prevails over the mind and the senses. When these are purified by the proper use of intelligence, the conditioned soul is liberated. Otherwise, when intelligence is not used to control the senses and the mind, the conditioned soul continues to reincarnate from one particular bodily form to another, relentlessly pursuing the satisfaction of the senses.
Let us understand that the Lord created the mind, the senses, and the intelligence of the living being, the spiritual being distinct from God that each of us is, but that the latter was not created, for it exists eternally as an infinitesimal, eternal fragment of the Supreme Lord. However, sometimes some of these eternal fragments of the Supreme Lord, these individual souls, become conditioned and covered by the cloud formed by the material conception of existence, also called the bodily conception of existence, the cause of which is the darkness of ignorance regarding God and existential truth.
If Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, did not activate the mind and the five senses of our body, we would not be able to use it.
In truth, by His divine presence in the various bodies of dense matter—those of celestial beings, those of human beings, those of terrestrial and aquatic animals, and those of all plants—Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, the Absolute Truth, activates the mind and the senses.
By entering and residing within the body of each living being as the Super soul, the Lord animates the body, the senses, the life airs, and the various mental activities, so that all the ethereal and material organs of the body begin their functions.
