All those who believe they can alleviate their suffering by resorting to euthanasia, for example, are mistaken, because euthanasia or assisted suicide does not solve their problem, but merely postpones it to their next life.

Euthanasia, and man is unaware of this, does not relieve the suffering of the incarnated spiritual being, because it actually causes the transfer of the physical, mental, and psychological difficulties and suffering of the incarnated soul to its future life, and it will have to suffer again in its future existence. Indeed, he will be reborn under the same conditions as those he experienced at the time of his death, and the physical disabilities he had will be present in his new body. From birth, he will suffer from them again and again.

We have examples of these situations in many families, where the baby is born disabled, completely paralyzed, with physical and mental deformities, or other conditions, consequences of his culpable actions committed in his past life, and not yet atoned for. It frequently happens that he is born with an incurable disease, usually the one he had at the time of his death in his last life, or that he does not live long and dies young, because his second life is in reality a continuation of his last existence interrupted by an abominable act, euthanasia, assisted suicide, or medically assisted dying.

Unlike ordinary mortals, suffering, pain, and other misfortunes cannot be altered, lessened, or diminished in this material world, for they are the fruits of our own past actions. We must absolutely erase them by tolerating and accepting the pain felt, and by surrendering to God; otherwise, they will remain, and we will encounter them again in our next lives.

Krishna, God, the Supreme and Absolute Person, teaches us about the ideal attitude to adopt in the face of our suffering: Ephemeral joys and sorrows, like summers and winters, come and go. They are due only to the contact of the senses with matter, and we must learn to tolerate them without being affected by them.

He who is affected neither by joy nor by sorrow, who remains serene and resolute in all circumstances, is worthy of liberation (salvation).

We cannot escape suffering in this world; the only remedy is to tolerate, accept, and endure it. And he who manages not only to tolerate the miseries of this world, but also manages to remain calm and serene in the face of the joys and sorrows of this world, is worthy of liberation and will see his situation improve.

Whoever, firmly determined to realize their spiritual self, manages to tolerate the onslaughts of misfortune as well as happiness, is ready to attain liberation. No obstacle stops the being who truly desires to make their life perfect. We can make our lives perfect by learning to tolerate the difficulties of this life and in the next by returning to a world where suffering does not exist, namely the spiritual world.
