It is the soul's interest that must be sought, not the body's.

Lord Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, grants desires and punishes actions.
That is why we absolutely must renew the bond of love that unites us to him, surrender ourselves to him, love him, obey him, do his divine will, unite our desires, our projects and our interests with his, and serve him with love and devotion, if we want to go into his absolute and eternal kingdom, in order to see him face to face, and live for eternity with him, in absolute peace, permanent, incessant and eternal happiness.
What is the most auspicious way to overcome death?
Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, answers:
I will expound upon you My most auspicious teaching by which, with profound faith, a mortal being can overcome invincible death.
One whose mind is drawn to My devotional service and who has offered Me their heart and intellect should remember to perform, step by step, through the grace of their own loving mind, all the tasks prescribed for My satisfaction.
You should seek refuge in the holy places frequented by My faithful devotees and follow the example of the conduct of My holy servants operating among heavenly beings and human beings. With a pure heart, one must see Me within oneself as the Supreme Soul, which, free as the boundless heavens, is present both within and without oneself and all living beings [souls incarnated in the bodies of celestial beings, human beings, animals, and plants].
When, with My love, one experiences respect for all living beings, one has, with such an approach, taken refuge in the highest possible knowledge, the absolute unity of mind.
When one regards with the same eye the holy man and the outcast, the thief and the faithful man, spiritual culture, the sun and the spark, the gentle and the cruel equally, one is considered a wise person. From the person who constantly meditates on My presence in all people, rivalry, envy, disdain, and the false ego (identifying with one's body and wanting to dominate material nature) quickly disappear. Ignoring the laughter of his friends and unembarrassed by outward appearances, he must throw himself stiff as a board on the ground and offer his greetings to everyone, even to dogs, outcasts, cows and donkeys.
As long as one has not developed the vision of My Person present in all living beings (celestial beings, human beings, animals, and plants), one must worship Me in thought, word, and deed. For one who, through knowledge and spiritual realization, sees the Supreme Soul everywhere, it is understood that everything is based on Absolute Truth.
Thus freed from doubt, it is the duty of such a person to withdraw from material activities. Because this method, perfectly established by Me, is free from the influence of material nature and has no ulterior motives or hidden agendas, when one strives to serve Me with devotion in this way, there is no loss. When one is able to fulfill one's duty without ulterior motives for the love of Me, the One Supreme, emotions, all effort, fear, and the like will be futile.
