Why are we lost in this world, where reincarnation and suffering are perpetual?

Human beings are imprisoned in matter, and they are unaware of it.

The science of God, or pure spiritual science, is intended to elevate humanity from ignorance of the facts concerning God, to true spiritual knowledge and absolute truth, to virtue.

This sublime knowledge, spoken by the Supreme Lord Himself, possesses in its essence the life and purity of Absolute Truth. This is why it is said to be “beyond human understanding.”

The word of God is living, pure, and saving. It is heavenly food and the life-giving drink. It spreads divine knowledge that opens the mind to truth and reveals God as He truly is. It is the flaming sword that destroys evil, annihilates demonic wickedness, and removes impurities. It pours forth blessings and is the purifying essence. It is the knowledge that shows the right path, sweeps away doubts and fears, and strengthens the spirit. The essence of the word of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, is love. Whoever listens to God will never be confused or lost.

They can then penetrate the knowledge of the soul, of truth, and know God as He truly is. Through it, they can learn how to pursue their spiritual development to the level of pure virtue, and under the guidance of a qualified spiritual master, a true servant of God, unlock the secret of loving and devoted service to the Lord, which alone can allow us to draw closer to God and thus live with Him in His eternal kingdom.

This science is particularly intended to protect all human beings without exception, all peoples of the world, and the leaders of each country have a duty to study it, to grasp its profound meaning, if they want to govern the state perfectly and save their fellow citizens from the lust that binds them to matter.

Humanity's primary mission is to cultivate spiritual knowledge and rediscover its natural and eternal relationship with Krishna, God, the Supreme Person. On every planet and in every nation, it is the responsibility of leaders to share this knowledge, this science of God-knowledge, or Krishna consciousness, with their citizens by providing spiritual education, cultural enrichment, and instruction in devotion, so that all may have the opportunity to lead positive lives and make the most of their human form.

We have forgotten God, the connection that binds us to Him, who we truly are, and how to escape this illusory world where we must endure the cycle of time, rebirth or reincarnation, and repeated deaths, experiencing the four sufferings of birth, sickness, old age, and death in each life.

We have forgotten God and the loving and devoted service we owe Him. This is why we are lost in this world of death and successive reincarnations, where suffering is perpetual.

In truth, forgetfulness comes from death. When we die, we must change bodies, and it is this change of body that causes forgetfulness.
