Why do we say that God is our Witness, our Supreme Guide, our Protector, and our Sustainer?
Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, is the Supreme Master and Supreme Guide of all living beings. Under His direction, all souls conditioned by material nature, as if bound by ropes, ceaselessly strive to fulfill their desires.
Lord Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, grants His protection to all beings, for He is the supreme guide of all.
It is certain that among all beings, Lord Krishna is the Supreme Person. His superiority over all other beings is marked by the fact that He is the One Divine Person, also called “The One Absolute, without equal,” and that He provides for the needs of all. Therefore, whoever knows Him can attain eternal peace.
The Lord grants his protection to beings of various levels through his multiple energies, but it is he himself, his very person, who protects his pure devotees.
Lord Krishna resides in the heart of every human, animal, and plant being, in his form as Supreme Soul, and thus remains the Supreme Guide, the Supreme Witness, the Supreme Protector, and the Supreme Supporter.
Through his extraordinary superior intelligence, he knows, long in advance and with great ease, the effort exerted by each living being.
The Lord is in the heart of every living being, and thus acts as the witness to its actions, the Supreme Master and Consentor of its deeds. Indeed, no one can experience any pleasure unless the Lord consents, but the living being is not thereby the beneficiary of the fruits of material action.
The Lord rightly asks that every living being renounce all personal desires in order to cooperate with His own. To become One with Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, therefore, consists of uniting one's desires, plans, and interests with His. This is the perfection of desire.
Lord Krishna dwells in the heart of every living being as the Supreme Soul, and thus knows all their thoughts; therefore, no one can act without His knowledge. Because of His superior intelligence, He gives everyone the opportunity to fully fulfill their desires, and it is He who bestows the fruits of their actions.
Truly, every person empowered by Lord Krishna is already blessed, as is the work entrusted to them.
