The inner energy of Krishna, the Supreme Person, sustains the realm of God and all that it contains. The Lord's inner power manifests variety in the transcendental realm of Vaikuntha, the spiritual world.
In fact, the material cosmos is a distorted reflection of the spiritual world. Everything found in the material cosmos and on the material planets, including Earth, is also found, but in a more beautiful and purer form, in the realm of God.
The Lord says: Whoever establishes themselves in this knowledge can attain the spiritual and absolute nature, like My own. Then, they are not reborn at the time of creation, nor are they affected by the time of dissolution.
The spiritual world, unlike those ignorant of the facts concerning God and absolute existential truth, is not devoid of variety.
In fact, the spiritual realm is just as rich in variety as the material universe. Indeed, one also sees trees there, magnificent gardens composed of splendid flowers unknown in this material world, houses, roads, chariots, vehicles, aircraft—in short, everything is there, except for the vicissitudes of dense matter.
There, the land abounds with spiritual gemstones, such as cintamanis, and the forests are full of wishing trees.
The spiritual world is populated by trees that bear every fruit one could desire. In the world we live in, the material universe, a mango tree cannot produce grapes any more than a grapevine can bear mangoes. But in the spiritual world, the same tree can give us mangoes, grapes, or dates, for example. These are what are called “wishing trees.”
The inhabitants of Vaikuntha travel in their airships made of lapis lazuli, emeralds, and gold, where their companions, with their ample hips and marvelously smiling faces, throng. But the joy and angelic charms of these beauties cannot incite them to passion. The companions of the inhabitants of Vaikuntha far surpass in beauty any woman living in the material cosmos, even on the paradisiacal planets, the highest in the material galaxies. While women's ample hips strongly attract men and stimulate their passion in the material cosmos, what is marvelous about Vaikuntha is that, despite the women's ample hips and lovely faces, not to mention their emerald and other jewel adornments, men remain so absorbed in Krishna consciousness that they feel no attraction to their sublime beauty. This means that relations between the sexes are harmonious, but without the intervention of sexual desire. The inhabitants of Vaikuntha, the spiritual world, experience a far greater pleasure, hence the unnecessary nature of sexual gratification.
