A person's spiritual standing will be determined solely by external symbols, and on this same basis, people will move from one spiritual order to another. A person's worthiness will be seriously questioned if they are not well-off, while someone highly skilled in wordplay will be considered a learned scholar.

A person will be judged impious if they lack money, and hypocrisy will be accepted as a virtue. Marriage will be arranged simply by verbal agreement, and a person will consider themselves fit to appear in public if they have merely taken a bath.

A sacred place will be considered to consist of nothing more than a distant water reservoir, and beauty will depend on hairstyle. Filling one's stomach will become the goal of life, and someone who is audacious will be accepted as truthful. Someone who can provide for a family will be considered a wise man, and the principles of religion will be respected only for the sake of appearances.

As the land becomes filled with a corrupt population, whoever among the social classes proves the strongest will gain political power.

Losing their wives and possessions to such avaricious and ruthless rulers, who will behave no better than common thieves, the citizens will flee to the mountains and forests.

Pursued by famine and excessive taxes, the people will resort to leaves, roots, flesh, wild honey, fruits, flowers, and seeds. Struck by drought, they will be utterly ruined.

Citizens will suffer greatly from the cold, wind, heat, rain, and snow. They will also be tormented by quarrels, hunger, thirst, disease, and severe anxiety. The maximum lifespan of humans in the Iron Age will be fifty years.

At the end of the Kali Yuga, the Iron Age, the size of all creatures' bodies will be drastically reduced, and the religious principles of the followers of all social and spiritual classes will be ruined. The path of the Vedas, the original holy scriptures, will be completely forgotten by human society, and so-called religion will be primarily atheistic.

Kings and heads of state and government will be primarily thieves. Human occupations will be theft, lies, and senseless violence, and all social classes will be reduced to the lowest level of humanity, such as laborers. Cows will resemble goats, spiritual hermitages will be indistinguishable from worldly homes, and family ties will extend no further than the immediate bonds of marriage.

Most plants and herbs will be tiny, and all trees will appear as semi-dwarfs. Clouds will be filled with lightning, houses will be devoid of piety, and all human beings will have become donkeys, uncivilized creatures.
