Each of them must work in harmony with the others for the benefit of society as a whole, which includes not only mobile beings but also immobile ones, such as mountains, hills, the earth, etc., for they too play a useful and very important role within humanity.

For example, many insects pollinate a great many plants, which thus develop and in turn contribute to the well-being of humans and many other animals.

The human community, composed of merchants, farmers, and businesspeople, through the production of grain, the protection of livestock, the transport of goods when necessary, and financial activity, is particularly responsible for the economic progress of society and, consequently, for the well-being of every living being.

Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, teaches us that even cats and dogs, though seemingly insignificant, should not be neglected, for they play a role in human life. The protection of the cow, however, remains paramount, for it graciously offers its milk to all humanity.

Similarly, the most degraded among us, those called “untouchables” in India, or vagrants in the West, should not be “forgotten” by the higher classes of society. Every living being has its importance; some, however, are primarily responsible for the progress of human society, others more indirectly.

When the consciousness of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, also called the consciousness of God, reigns, each person finds what will be their greatest benefit.

All these elements are interconnected and mutually supportive. But ultimately, the Lord is the summum bonum, the Supreme Sovereign, the ultimate goal of all living beings, and therefore the life-giving principle of all things.

Let us return to reason and live according to God's teachings.

For some time now, we have been witnessing the decline of human reason. Some people with limited intellect manufacture pesticides, sell them while claiming they offer benefits, and buyers, unaware of the toxicity of these dangerous products, use them with disregard for the health of living beings—humans, animals, and plants—who die after inhaling them.

Pesticides are extremely dangerous products because they penetrate and destroy everything. The soil is thus impacted and loses its yield, and all the living beings within it die. All pollinating insects, including bees, dragonflies, butterflies, bumblebees, flies, and beetles, as well as birds, mammals, and numerous microorganisms that contribute to the development of nature, die and decline.
