At the same time, Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, is so good that He gives them the right guidance, saying: Okay, if you want to enjoy life, do it in such a way that one day you can return to Me.
Because the living being forgot God or disobeyed Him in order to enjoy life by imitating Him, they were placed in the material universe. Under the care of Durga, regent of this material world, the being can return to its original home, located in the kingdom of God. This is the overall plan, to which there is truly no alternative. Each of us must return to the kingdom of God, our original home. By willingly and without delay, we gain time; otherwise, we lose it. After many lifetimes of striving, the wise person surrenders to God. Ultimately, it is about surrendering to Him.
The illusory energy, akin to Satan, will torment the individual in various ways until they reach this conclusion. When the individual becomes frustrated in their efforts to satisfy their senses, understand that a special grace is being granted. The individual still wants to linger, but God shows them particular favor by drawing them to Himself. The soul desires God, but at the same time, it yearns to enjoy the material universe. This proves contradictory, for desiring God is tantamount to rejecting the material world. Sometimes, the individual finds themselves caught between these two desires, and Krishna places them in a desperate situation. Deprived of money, the individual finds that all their so-called relatives and friends are abandoning them. In their despair, they surrender to God.
All beings seek happiness in the material universe, but nature's design is to torment them. In other words, every quest for happiness will be thwarted so that, in time, the individual will turn to God. This is God's overall plan: to bring the soul back to God, to its original home. This doesn't apply only to a select few. Let's not imagine that some will remain in this world while others join the Lord. No. God wants everyone, without exception, to return to His kingdom. But some souls are as stubborn as naughty boys. When their father says, “Come,” they reply, “No way.” The father then has to bring them back by force.
The Supreme Eternal One says: Because you are My dearest friend, I will reveal to you My supreme instruction, the most confidential. Listen to My words, for I speak them for your good. Surrender yourself to Me, and I will protect you from all perils.
