What do acts devoid of true divine knowledge engender?

As for acts stemming from ignorance, since their perpetrator lacks all divine knowledge, they engender, in the immediate future, only misfortune, and, in the future, a fall among the animal species. Although animals, placed under the influence of God's material energy, in its aspect of material nature, are unaware of this, their lives are always miserable.

The slaughter of animals also stems from ignorance. Those who participate in this slaughter, this massacre, are unaware that in their future lives, the animals they kill now will obtain a body that will enable them to kill them in turn. Such is the law of nature.

We clearly see that, according to the laws of each state, a murderer must be condemned to death, in order to spare him terrible suffering in his next life. Because of their ignorance of God, their true spiritual identity, and absolute existential truth, people cannot perceive that the entire material universe constitutes a vast state, of which the Supreme Lord, Krishna, is the Sovereign Master.

Every created being is a child of the Lord, who does not even tolerate the killing of an ant. For such an act, according to the law of Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, one must pay. Therefore, indulging in the slaughter of animals for the mere pleasure of taste represents the grossest form of ignorance. Humans have absolutely no need to kill animals for sustenance, for God provides them with all kinds of delicious foods for this purpose. Those who, despite these truths, persist in consuming meat, fish, and eggs, act under the influence of ignorance and are preparing a very dark future for themselves. Of all animal slaughters, that of the cow is the most ignoble, because the cow, by giving its milk, provides us with so much satisfaction, that killing it is committing an act of the deepest ignorance.

How can we erase and correct our mistakes?

This is why we must surrender ourselves completely to Krishna, God, the Supreme Person, because we cannot manage on our own, and we are neither free nor independent of Krishna.

We cannot escape the limits imposed by God's laws; it is simply impossible.

Humans created this situation. In other words, by slaughtering so many animals, they created such karma that they, in turn, must be slaughtered on the battlefield.

Let us immediately cease killing human beings and all land and water animals, flying and crawling creatures, and let us all make a firm and final resolution never to consume animal flesh again.

Yes, let us never again eat meat, fish, or eggs.

Let us turn to God, surrender ourselves completely to Him, love Him, obey Him, do His will, renew our bond of love with Him, unite our desires, plans, and interests with His, and serve Him with love and devotion.

The Lord advises us: Surrender yourself to Me, and I will protect you from all perils. I promise, and I am bound, to always protect whoever surrenders themselves entirely to Me.

Whoever surrenders themselves to Me will never again know the troubles of birth and death. I grant faith and refuge to whoever surrenders themselves to Me and vows to serve Me forever, for such is My nature.

Surrender yourself completely to Me. By My grace, you will know absolute peace, and you will reach My eternal and supreme abode.

The Lord adds: It is only through devotional service, and only in this way, that one can know Me as I truly am. And the one who, through such devotion, becomes fully conscious of My Person, can then enter My absolute kingdom.

It is only by serving Me with undivided love and devotion that one can know Me as I truly am, and likewise, truly see Me. Thus, and only thus, can one penetrate the mystery.
