Are all the planets in our galaxy inhabited?
Yes, Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, tells us that spirit souls are everywhere, on all the planets in our galaxy.
Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the creator of the material cosmos with its retinue of countless galaxies of different dimensions.
Karanodakasayi Visnu, also called Maha-Visnu, is the first Supreme Avatar, a plenary emanation of Lord Krishna. He is the origin of material manifestation. From him come the primordial principle of matter and therefore of material nature, and all galaxies, which once again return to Him at the time of annihilation or the end of the world. He is the master of the energy of illusion.
Garbhodakasayi Visnu is the second Supreme Avatar. He is the form in which Karanodakasayi Visnu enters each galaxy to give birth to multiplicity. From his navel emerges a lotus, whose stem shelters the myriad planets, and on which Brahma, the demiurge of the galaxy, is born.
Ksirodakasayi Visnu is the third Supreme Avatar. This is the form in which Garbhodakasayi Visnu penetrates the heart of every being, every atom, and even between atoms. He is the omnipresent Supreme Soul, also called the Holy Spirit. He remains reclining on the ocean of milk. He is the Soul of all beings and the sustainer of all galaxies. Sesa Naga is a subsequent manifestation.
All galaxies are created on the same principle, that is, each one is divided into three major regions.
The first and most important is the upper region, which is composed of numerous heavenly, paradise-like planets where celestial beings live. They are much more beautiful, intelligent, and spiritually higher than human beings.
The second, the intermediate region, is composed of many terrestrial-type planets. Earth is therefore not the only planet where the 400,000 human forms that God created live. These 400,000 human forms are therefore distributed across all the terrestrial-type planets that make up the intermediate region.
Earth and its inhabitants, human beings, are located at the beginning of the intermediate region.
The third, the lower region, located below the intermediate region, called Hell, is composed of many infernal planets.
