Is spiritual education of paramount importance?

Spiritual education is learning to know Krishna, God, the Supreme Person as He truly is; knowing that He is the ultimate goal of existence, that He is the source of all that Is, and that everything emanates from Him.

Spiritual education is also the art of living according to God's teachings.

Spiritual education, and the philosophy it disseminates, deals with understanding the source of all things. One can inquire about the origin of life on Earth and conclude that it proceeds from three elements: water, earth, and fire. But where do these three elements come from?

In truth, Krishna, none other than the Absolute Truth, is the source of all that is.

True spiritual education consists of knowing how the Supreme Spiritual Master, Krishna, acts, and true knowledge consists of understanding how the Absolute Master acts.

Krishna declares: Of the spiritual and material worlds, I am the source; from Me all things emanate. The wise who fully understand this truth serve Me and worship Me with all their hearts.

The first milestone of spiritual knowledge.

It is the duty of all parents to provide their children with a good education, and spiritual education, superior to material education, proves to be the highest and most important.

Without spiritual education, humankind remains at the level of animals, mired in blindness and ignorance. It is content merely to eat, sleep, mate, and defend itself.
